Om Parvat, a sacred mountain, features a naturally formed snow pattern in the shape of the holy “Om” symbol. Itinerary – Ex Kathgodam
Duration: 7 Nights / 8 Days
Day 01: Kathgodam to Pithoragarh (200 km / Approx. 8 hrs drive) – 1700m
- Departure from Kathgodam at 07:00 AM towards Pithoragarh.
- En route visit Kainchi Dham, Chetai Golu Devta Temple, and Jageshwar Dham.
- Evening check-in at the hotel and overnight stay in Pithoragarh.
Places to Visit:
- Kainchi Dham: A revered ashram and Hanuman temple established by Neem Karoli Baba in the 1960s.
- Golu Devta Temple: A 12th-century temple dedicated to Golu Devta, worshipped as the deity of justice.
- Jageshwar Dham: A sacred complex of over 100 stone temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, known as the “Valley of Gods.”
Day 02: Pithoragarh to Dharchula (90 km / Approx. 4 hrs drive) – 940m
- Early morning drive from Pithoragarh to Dharchula.
- Upon arrival, paperwork for Inner Line Permit will be completed.
- Evening free for exploration and overnight stay at the hotel.
About Dharchula:
A beautiful valley divided by the Kali River, bordering Nepal. Visitors can explore the Rung Museum and experience Indo-Tibetan culture.
Day 03: Dharchula to Nabi Village (85 km / 6 hrs) – 3048m
- After breakfast, proceed towards Nabi Village with scenic stops at Malpa, Budhi, Chialekh, Garbyang, Gunji, and Napalchu.
- Evening arrival and overnight stay at a homestay in Nabi Village.
Key Highlights:
- Malpa: A historical site with a tragic past.
- Budhi: A place of high-altitude beauty.
- Garbyang: Famous for Sea Buckthorn Vinegar.
- Gunji: Gateway to Om Parvat and Kailash Mansarovar Route.
Day 04: Om Parvat Visit (22 km drive) – 4500m
- Early morning drive to Om Parvat, a sacred site with a natural snow formation of “Om”.
- Visit Kalapani and Mahakali Temple (subject to permission).
- Return to Nabi Village for overnight stay.
Key Highlights:
- Om Parvat: A rare natural “Om” formation, considered a high-energy spiritual site.
- Kalapani: The origin of the Kali River and a revered Mahakali Temple.
Day 05: Nabi Village to Adi Kailash (38 km / Approx. 3 hrs) – 4572m
- Drive to Jollinkong and trek 2 km to Parvati Sarovar.
- Meditate and offer prayers at Adi Kailash (6310m), known as the ancient abode of Lord Shiva.
- Visit Gauri Kund if health permits (5000m altitude).
- Return to Nabi Village for an evening cultural program (subject to artist availability).
- Overnight stay at Nabi Village.
Day 06: Nabi Village to Dharchula (85 km / 6 hrs)
- Morning departure for Dharchula.
- Evening free for shopping and sightseeing in Nepal.
- Overnight stay at a hotel in Dharchula.
Day 07: Dharchula to Patal Bhuvneshwar (176 km / 6 hrs) – 1350m
- Drive through the stunning Himalayan landscapes to Patal Bhuvneshwar Cave Temple.
- Check-in at the resort/hotel and overnight stay.
About Patal Bhuvneshwar:
A mystical underground limestone cave believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva and 33 crore deities.
Day 08: Patal Bhuvneshwar to Kathgodam (200 km / 8 hrs)
- After breakfast, depart for Kathgodam Railway Station.
- Yatra concludes with divine memories.
